Basically, any trade you would call to your home or place of business to carry out work for you. Examples include: Builder, Carpenter, Electrician, Gardener, Plumber, Landscaper, Upholsterer etc. If a Beautician or Hairdresser offered in-home services, then they could be part of this directory too.
Our tradies live within the Kiama Municipality, so we are supporting our local residents.
The process should be no different to what you do whenever you are looking to engage a tradesperson to carry out work for you. For some trades such as Air Conditioning, Electrical or Plumbing work to name a few they must be licenced, so “are you licenced” would be a good first question to ask. We are totally independent of the Tradies on this site. The only criteria for a Tradie to be listed here are that they are a resident of Kiama municipality. Whilst we always hope & trust that things will go to plan, unfortunately, this is not always the case. Your first discussions should always be with the Tradie performing the work. If you can’t reach an acceptable agreement, then visit NSW Fair Trading Your rights when buying products and services in NSW pages to determine the next appropriate steps.

We market and provide a direct link for you to connect to the businesses in our directory. Many of the businesses in this directory have a free listing, whilst other businesses pay a nominal annual fee to have enhanced or featured listings.
Australian Business Register provides a facility to search for Business Names or ABN’s – at the bottom of the search screen you can select NSW to keep the number of results to a reasonable number.
Similarly, the NSW Government has a page which will let you look up a builder, tradesperson or SafeWork licence. This is a great way to check the Tradie’s current licences to ensure they are qualified to perform your work. The site also displays License history & if there have been any serious compliance breaches.
Indicates that the business have been verified by the Kiama Tradies Admin Team. ABN & Trade License number has been checked and confirmed that the business is based in the Kiama Municipality.
Indicates that the business is “Featured” on the Kiama Tradies website because they have purchased the GOLD package.
The Direct Message button lets you send a direct chat message to the Listing Owner, similar to various Social Media chats. The chat between you and the Listing Owner is 100% Private – Kiama Tradies does not know who you chat with.
When you send a Direct Message, the recipient also receives an email advising them of the message so they can log into their listing and respond to you.
FAQ's for Tradies
- The listings on Kiama Tradies have been loaded by the Kiama Tradies website team. By claiming your listing gives a “level” of comfort to the users that they are dealing with a reputable person who has been verified by the website.
- Secondly, by “Claiming” your website you will have access to manage your listing. You will be able to update all fields to provide a detailed description of your services plus add images to highlight your work, etc.
- Kiama Tradies DOES NOT charge for leads. If a resident contacts you for a quote, that contact is completely confidential and we do not know about the request or receive any payment.
- Our Annual Plan costs are significantly less than other popular national “lead services”.
The prime verification is your Trade Licence Number plus your full name and residential address. These details will enable the Kiama Tradies website team to confirm you are the rightful owner of the “listing” and then place the “claimed” icon on your listing.
As part of claiming or adding your Listing, you will be asked to enter a Username & select a password.
Once your listing has been verified you will be sent an email saying that your account is active.
By logging into your account you can see your subscription, payment details plus be bale to manage your account.
Kiama Tradies accepts the following Payments for Subscriptions:
- Credit card
- PayPal using Bank Transfer or Credit Card
Yes – Kiama Tradies does not have access to your credit card details.
When you make a payment, the payment is handled by either Stripe for direct Credit Card payments or the PayPal Gateway if you elect to pay by PayPal.
You may cancel your subscription at any time & request your listing be removed.

Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your subscription purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.

When a listing expires, it is unpublished. You will be able to republish it by going to User Menu > My Listings > click “Relist”
You will be asked to choose a Listing Package and the listing will be relisted once payment has been completed and approved by the KT Admin Team.
When someone types a query (e.g. Plumbers in Kiama) into a Google or Bing or other Search Engine query box, the Search Engine then returns the user with a list of Plumbers from Kiama or who service Kiama. By targeting certain words that the Search Engine understands the better your chances are to rank higher in the results.
For instance, Fred’s Plumbing lets the search BOTs know that Fred is a plumber but doesn’t give any information about where Fred perfoms his plumbing activities. But a Tagline, “for all your plumbing, draining & roofing needs in Kiama“, let’s the BOTs know more about Fred’s plumbing business, what core functions he can do plus which areas in the world he services, so a search for Plumbers in Kiama is now more likely to find list Fred in Kiama as a Plumber.
